Slowly but steadily, the eSports craze is increasing in India. Owing to this fact, the world’s largest gaming festival, DreamHack is coming to India. Branded Paper Cups for DreamHack

To create buzz about the DreamHack event that will take place from 21-23 December 2018, at NESCO, Mumbai, BookMyShow approached GingerCup.

DreamHack is a digital festival where gamers and digital natives come together for a three-day weekend which features a 24-hour-a-day Local Area Network (LAN) party, eSports gaming competitions and Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) party.

GingerCup distributed personalised paper cups in colleges and tea stalls in Mumbai to create buzz about the event. The branded paper cup featured the original DreamHack banner as the sleeve and a QR code that would take gamers to the booking link. The gaming festival will be a ticketed event starting from Rs. 399 and will be streamed live on VOOT.

The entire prize pool of DreamHack Mumbai is a whopping Rs. 1 crore.

The reason we decided to take the gaming event into colleges is because most students would instantly connect with the event since they are the ones who are playing these video games most of the time. Most gamers are in the age group of 18-25 years, and thus they make the perfect target group to advertise events like these.

Today, gaming in India is a well-established industry and is gaining traction steadily. Over the years, there has been an aggressive growth in Indian gaming adoption particularly in colleges, hostels and the IT sector.

A similar campaign like this was carried out for Poker Ninja, an online poker gaming app by Intuit Gaming.
